Reduce, Reuse, Recycle...ME?

Preface:  I believe that God wants me to be a good steward of the blessings He gives....but I think the whole GREEN thang can quickly become about worshiping the creation instead of the Creator.  Therefore, I am hesitant to say that I am going GREEN!
So, because we haven't yet bought our yearly, cheapy wading pool....and it was almost 90 F yesterday...
I was deeply pondering my dilemma...of cooling my whiny Sweet Boobahs!  Then, I had a GREEN epiphany!
They have empty Easter buckets....and they were just waiting for such an opportunity of usefulness!
Full of icy water they provided almost 2 hours of funtimes....
...cool, refreshing hilarity!
I REDUCED my water usage...(by many a gallon)...I REUSED the poor pretty buckets...and I think that's RECYCLING by giving old things another purpose!
Who needs a wading pool?  Okay...well...maybe we do!?  Hahaha!

I think it is a cute idea. and you are right, Being "green" can get out of hand by large porpartions. lol like washing your plastic trash just to be able to recycle it but it can also be fun. You could use those silly plastic containers as pots for small plants or paint holders or to make shakers without going over board. or at least that is coming from the mind of a Prek teacher ;)oh! speaking of which have the kids made paper bag vests yet? I either made them in preschool or kindergarden but they were fun. Hmmm.... I better stop there... i'm not sure if i'm helping :p
