Climbin Caleb...

Caleb is so proud that he can climb up onto his sister's bed! He just chortles when he reaches the top. I tried to get a good taping of it around bedtime last night! Emma is usually happy about him being up there but as you can see at the end of the video she begins delving into her umpteenth tantrum of the day cuz he's up there. God bless all the mother's of two year olds! Amen!

Ringlets--ooooo!

My sweet baby boy has the loveliest ringlets when he gets warm! This one on the side of his head was so cute that Darren grabbed the camera and took some pics for me!

Sleepy boy spotted the camera!
Awww--smile for the camera, sleepy boy!

Sleeping Twins?

We had a great time with some new friends of ours and it was too cute when our babies fell asleep. Caleb and Lauren are the same age--only different by a few hours. They sweetly shared a crib for a few hours while we continued our evening. Awwww!

Ian and Adrianna were great playmates to Emma. She was getting sleepy and wanted to sit on someone's lap so Ian thoughtfully obliged--poor kid! Ha! Ahhh--good times!

I thought laying down in the hammock would be relaxing. It turned out to be more like a dog pile! Ha ha ha! Oh well, I do love my sweet boobahs!

Bubbles...YIKES!

Caleb is a little afraid of bubbles. It is so cute. He sticks his arms out like superman and is totally confused when they disappear. Emma has a great time too. She just loves, "BUBOOS" and screeches and runs about. She was very interested in balancing the bottle cap on Caleb's head tonight. What else are brother's heads for?

Lubby Luggage...

I've been calling Caleb "Mr. Lubby" lately. I think from Ca-LUB--Lubby. I'm quirky and pet names just sort of flow forth from me! Ha ha ha! Anyhew, Lubby decided to play in Emma's luggage and I thought it was sooooo cute. He struggles to squeeze himself in and then sits and chirps happily for a long while! Awwww!

When he begins to feel cramped he stretches his gorgeous chubby toes out of the suitcase. Oh, yet another lovely chubby toes picture!!

Fabulous Friday...

It is raining "cats and dogs" outside but I'm determined that it will be a Fabulous Friday! We did get our errands done this morning before too much rain. AND I set up Emma's iron bed stand, by myself, with two toddlers roaming about. Go me--superwoman! AND Both kids are napping at the same time so I can blog with my newly reconnected modem! SO, Happy Friday ya'll and hope yours is just fabulous!
I took pics of Emmy and Lubby on the swings yesterday. The sun was bright so I couldn't get good smiles but I think they're still cuter than bugs! Check out the little man's chubby toes--hehehe! I just love chubby toes!

Summer Luvin'

We went and bought a cheap wadding pool at Walmart last weekend and it has been hilarious fun. Caleb doesn't like to be in it--too cold I think--but he reaches over the edge and splashes periodically! He shrieks and then she shrieks--it is so funny! She lifts the bucket and dumps it on herself! Of course, there are the sudden trips to the potty (wet bottoms scampering across the floors), gallons of sunscreen (check out Avon's aerosol bug and sun), and the millionth, "Be careful not to splash your brother" but overall--great times.
Isn't this the cutest dude! Awww! He is such a smiley little bugger. I could just eat him up! His skin is looking so good too! Yeah for a good allergist!
Here's my blond bathing beauty bombshell! Woohooo!

The princess upon her throne...

Here is the princess upon her throne. She was having such a good time playing in her dress that we didn't take it off for a potty break. Don't worry--I helped--no wet hemlines! HA ha!

You may note that the poor child has no privacy but hey--neither does Mom, so that's life for now! I was actually commenting to Darren that I have decided that each evening I should get an alone potty break. This means door closed and no clamoring either. He has to keep them from pounding on the door, putting little fingers and eyeballs below the door, and calling to me, "Hello? MomEEEE--you there?" I know, there may be the blessed few out there who have never experienced such a phenomenal loss of privacy but well, it happens. Someday, I tell myself, I will doodle alone without Emma sneaking in to hide from "K-wub". Someday, I will shower alone without a chubby little son ripping the curtain back to shriek at me. Someday, they will grow up. So, I will enjoy today and all it's wild craziness. These are good times. I "pwifacy!"

Where's the Grad?

Of course, I was planning to do a nice blog about my weekend at my parent's for my baby brother's high school graduation. I started out the visit with a bang--taking pictures, etc. and then lost steam completely. I got home only to realize that I hadn't taken any pictures of the graduate at all. Sorry Daver! I know others did so maybe I'll get some that way. We did get some fun pics though!

My Dad attempted to scare birds away from his tiny pond with rubber snakes. He kept buying different varieties in the hopes that the birds would be scared of a certain type. It didn't work and my Mom made him take them down out of the trellis before guests arrived. He put them in one of the desk drawers and Emma found them and loved them. At first she wasn't so sure if they were real or not and spit at them but then she decided they were okay and wouldn't leave them alone. FYI--they stayed at Gumpa's house so she'll be looking in that drawer every time she visits. Hope ya'll didn't want to store anything but rubber snakes in that drawer! Ha ha ha! Nana was allowing Emma to dress her as Medusa in this picture.
Another napping picture of my boys. Aren't they cute? Dad took to calling Darren "Big Caleb" because Caleb looks and acts so much like him. I tried to name him Darren Jr. but Darren didn't want to--so now he is "Big Caleb!" Ha ha ha!
Grandma's roll-top desk makes a great cave! They'd been playing in there for a while and when I grabbed my camera they started to get out! It was very cute! The desk is special --my Grandpa Sharp refinished this desk with his whole family and they all remember helping. It helps us to remember him!
Here's sweet Emma sitting by the pond. It was getting close to naptime, I think. She rubs her eyes just like her Daddy! So cute!
That blue dog is sort of funny looking--nope, wait--that's Caleb. Hey, he drools and is sort of fuzzy--I got confused!

You Are My I Love You...

You Are My I Love You
by MaryAnn K. Cusimano and Satomi Ichikawa

I am your parent
you are my child.
I am your quiet place;
you are my wild.

I am your calm face;
you are my giggle.
I am your wait;
you are my wiggle.

I am your carriage ride;
you are my king.
I am your push;
you are my swing.

I am your audience;
you are my clown.
I am your London Bridge;
you are my falling down.

I am your carrot stick;
you are my licorice.
I am your dandelion;
you are my first wish.

I am you water wings;
you are my deep.
I am your open arms;
you are my running leap.

I am your way home;
you are my new path.
I am your dry towel;
you are my wet bath.

I am your dinner;
you are my chocolate cake.
I am your bedtime;
you are my wide awake.

I am your finish line;
you are my race.
I am your praying hands;
you are my saying grace.

I am your favorite book;
you are my new lines.
I am your night-light;
you are my starshine.

I am your lullaby;
you are my peekaboo.
I am your goodnight kiss;
you are my I LOVE YOU.

This is a wonderful children's book--I have it memorized. The illustrations are great--if you have a chance to pick it up!
